RO42 reflects the way Romanian designers define their personal relationships with their native county, being at the same time a creative way to create dialogue, and also a sense of community. The Local Design Circle association invited 42 designers from all 42 counties of Romania to reimagine the flag of their native county using only basic shapes.

The flags were presented as a related event during the Romanian Design Week, displayed on the fence of the National Art Museum in Bucharest.

I was invited to reimagine Constanța, my home town and a place you can't easily detach from. For me, the anchor is a close connection with the sea, a root. Regardless of the urban or cultural changes that the county has gone through (and will continue to go through), the sea will always be there, unchanged.
